I am composing to you today since The Great Courses in partnership with Audible is exploring the possibility of creating a premium series on Financial Self-reliance. We believe that you may be an exceptional candidate to teach such a series. I have actually read lots of posts at Get Rich Slowly and I'm always impressed by your writing and just how much exceptional material you create.
Initially, I believed this was spam. Prior to I erased the message, however, I checked the sender. Certainly. The sender (and the message) was legitimate.
I composed back:
Thank you for reaching out. I get a great deal of ask for my time and usually turn them down. Not this one. I seem like this is a fantastic concept and well-worth checking out. I am a veteran fan of both Audible and the Great Courses. I'm not joking.
I included screen captures to show that I owned 72 Great Courses and almost 372 audiobooks from Audible. Those numbers have actually given that grown, naturally.
Conversations ensued, an agreement was developed, and in December 2019, I began the work of creating a five-hour, ten-part course on financial self-reliance and early retirement. I finished that course last April. I recorded it in May. And last month, at long last, How to Achieve Financial Independence and Retire Early made its way into the world!
